This hand-drawn doodle can be used in an Interactive Notebook or can be used as a poster. It can be adapted for multiple grade levels as the user writes in as much detail as desired. It includes space for 7 steps of the engineering design process, not including "state the problem".

I use this in my fifth grade science class. Students fill in the steps themselves after discussion.
