Description

Description:

Are you teaching your students about the engineering design process? If so, this lesson will be a huge help! The lesson slides (PowerPoint or Google) will walk you and your students through the steps of the engineering process. Then, students will use the graphic organizer to describe the five main steps. This is an easy print-and-go lesson and would make for easy sub plans if you have an online platform where you can post the Google slides.

What's Included:

  • Overview of activity
  • Editable PowerPoint slides with instructions for the lesson
  • Editable Google slides with instructions for the lesson
  • PDF file and editable PowerPoint file of the graphic organizer

How I Like to Use this Product:

I use this product in my engineering elective class to introduce the engineering design process to 6th graders. This is one of the first lessons we do and we complete this before any engineering challenges.

I introduced and followed the powerpoint, but the students were not as engaged. Did it explain the ideas well, it did. I would just have to add more to engage students.
