Description
Engineering is the use of science, physics, and mathematics to solve problems. Engineers figure out how things work and find practical uses for scientific discoveries. Scientists and inventors often get the credit for innovations, but it is engineers who help to make those innovations available to the world.
This project is designed to engage students in a fun engineering project while learning the process of engineering design.
This product includes a Rubric and Checklist for the Mousetrap Car designed for distance as an outcome. All of the resources (lesson plan, rubric/checklist handout, design brief handout, and unplugged research handout, for the Mousetrap Car) are designed to give teachers and students all the information they need to complete the project and to minimize mistakes.
All of the products are currently aligned with ITEEA Third Edition Standards for Technological Literacy. New revised ITEEA standards are coming soon.
