Description
An integrated math and science infographic assignment that asks students to create an infographic on an environmental issue of their choice. Created for Grade 5 students, this project combines math, science and media literacy expectations. It works great as an assessment for learning of the Grade 5 science unit "Conservation of Energy."
This download includes:
- assignment instructions
- a student infographic planning sheet
- success criteria
- student examples
- a rubric for evaluation (based on the Ontario achievement chart)
Student examples were made using Canva (a free online design and publishing tool that is fully compatible with Google Classroom) and Canva is also recommended in this assignment to students as they create their own infographics (although other programs work too!)
*Note: Also includes a link to create your own copy of the project in Google Apps!
