Description

Want your students to research and analyze science in the news?

This product guides students to find an Environmental Science current event article that interests them, read the article, and analyze it. Students are provided with multiple websites to find an article on. They must identify the main idea and 5 facts from the article. They will then answer additional questions that prompt them to think about why the research from the article is important and how research on the findings should continue.

This ready-to-post Google Doc works great as a monthly assignment or to be completed for extra credit. This product can be used with students ranging from middle school to high school. This assignment can be completed digitally or on paper and is perfect for distance learning (synchronous or asynchronous) or in-person.  This resource is designed to be used in an Environmental Science classroom but could be easily adapted for use in a Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, Geology, Geography, Anatomy, or Astronomy classroom.
