The concepts covered by this bundle are:

- Solar energy
- Photovoltaic cells vs. concentrating solar power
- Wind energy
- Offshore vs. onshore wind power
- Hydroelectric power
- Geothermal energy
- Biomass (including biofuels & biopower)
- Hydrogen gas
- Costs of renewable energy
If you utilize all of the content included, your unit will include a full 13 days of engaging, lecture-minimal content.
What is included in this unit?
- Pacing Guide: To set you up for success, this unit is built around an 9-page pacing and prep guide that explains exactly how to structure every day.
- PowerPoint: This unit includes a 40-slide editable PowerPoint presentation. I strive for my PowerPoints to include more than just notes - in each PowerPoint you'll find diagrams, student challenges, explanations of activities, and extension activities.
- Teacher lecture notes: Each PowerPoint slide includes teacher lecture notes for smooth and effective lectures.
- Student Notes: The notes utilized in this curriculum are visually stimulating and organized. Within this unit, you will receive 4 pages of Cornell notes. I have also included a key for your convenience.
- Labs & Activities: This unit includes 12 different labs and activities. Labs & activities included: renewable energy pitch project, solar and wind Venn diagrams, interactive map virtual field trip, geothermal energy color-by-number map, renewable energy costs data analysis, renewable speed dating, domino review cards, study guide, SPOONS game, sorting cards, board game, crossword puzzle
- Editable Test: A 90-point editable test, answer sheet, and key are included!
- Print or digital? Most resources are available in BOTH print and digital forms! For the PowerPoint you will receive a digital version through Google Slides™ as well. For the notes packets, you will receive a digital version through Google Slides™ of the notes with textboxes ready for students to type in notes. Every packet, lab, and activity includes a digital version through Google Slides™ with textboxes ready for students to type in their answers and click submit! A small number of resources are only available in print form due to the nature of those resources, such as the crossword puzzle.
Are these resources editable?
I’ve done my best to make this curriculum as editable as possible for you.
- All body text in the PowerPoints, tests, notes, and most activities is fully editable.
- A few activities and PPT slides include some non-editable text to maintain formatting, but if you need an editable copy just shoot me an email!
- Editable versions are provided through PowerPoint. PDFs are not editable and are password protected.
- To protect formatting and follow copyright law, images are non-editable and locked in place.
- If you ever need additional flexibility, feel free to email me - I’m always happy to help and am very quick to respond to emails.
For a complete list of materials used in this unit, check out the free scope and sequence. Please note that all labs and activities are optional. If materials are limited, any lab or activity can easily be skipped and the unit will still run smoothly.
