Description
Task cards are one of my favorite centers! I tape them around the room (sometimes the hallway) so students get to move around the room a little and don't get too bored at their desks.
These task cards were inspired by enVision Mathematics 2024 Common Core Grade 6 curriculum Topic 2: Integers and Rational Numbers
Topics included in these task cards:
- Topic 2-1: Understand Integers
- Topic 2-2: Represent Rational Numbers on a Number Line
- Topic 2-3: Absolute Values of Rational Numbers.

- Topic 2-5: Find Distances on a Coordinate Plane
- Topic 2-6: Represent Polygons on a Coordinate Plane
Skills included in these task cards:
- Write integers and their opposites
- Write integers to represent situations
- Identify integers, rational numbers, and absolute value on a number line
- Read integers from a thermometer
