The cards in each deck are in French for students, even though the description is in English. These Boom Cards cover the concept of understanding what the equal symbol means by identifying whether or not 2 sets are equal or not equal. Students can count the objects or subitize. Each deck of 25 cards becoming increasingly more difficult and covers more concepts. These skills will help students understand equations and pre-algebra skills. If these skills are taught early they will help children understand the concepts later on in math.

Equal and Not Equal #5 – Move the Dice – This concept is introducing that 2 amounts can be on both sides of the equal sign. Students will see 2 dice on one side of the equal sign and one die on the other. They must decide on which die to move up to make the equation equal.
