Description

This resource includes:

  • An editable Google Slides with
    • 45 Task Cards- Divided into 3 sets of 15 for Differentiation
      • 15 Addition & Subtraction
      • 15 Multiplication (with Addition & Subtraction)
      • 15 Associative Property of Addition & Multiplication
    • Recording Sheet for each set of Task Cards
    • Answer Keys for each set of Task Cards

  • An editable Google Form with self-grading
    • One Google Form is included for each set of Task Cards

You can print these out, or assign online. In my classroom, I assign the first 15 after our Addition & Subtraction unit, and the rest of them after our Multiplication unit.

Types of Questions:

  • Fill in the Digit- Students will be given an equation like this: 8 + 3 = ___ + 10 and they have to fill in the missing number. Answer choices on the Google Form are chosen to address any misconceptions that students may have. For example, a lot of students will put 11 as the answer to the question above because they don't realize the + 10 is attached to that side of the equation. These are great for teaching students to balance equations!
  • Fill in the other side of the Equation- Students will be given an equation like this: 4 x 4 = ________ and they have to choose the answer choice that makes the statement true
  • There are two questions that use the Not Equal sign (≠)

This resource work well for my 3rd graders: ELL's, SPED, and autistic. I write the answers on the back in pencil so you can't see through the card, and then laminate them. Perfect for small groups games. Students work well when there are rules established and one person is in charge of being the question person with the cards.

This was a great independent stations activity for my class! I added a few additional questions with division problems and skipped out on the operations cards.

I use these as my Math Around the Room task. They served as a great review for the kids & it gives them an opportunity to work independently at their own pace. Thank you for including the answer sheet!
