Description

Create a flower with this fraction flower craft and center. Students will color each shape on each petal to match the fraction given. Students will get practice dividing shapes into fractions, comparing fractions and working with equivalent fractions.

What is Included

  • 7 templates for different fractions (1/2, 1/3, 2/3, 1/4, 3/4, 3/5, 4/5)
  • 3 templates for mixed fraction matching practice (thumbnail 4)

There are 10 different one page spring fraction crafts for teachers to assign to students. They can be mixed and matched based on student knowledge and ability making these easy to differentiate for different students.

Once completed, these flower crafts can be used to create a fun spring time bulletin board, door display, or wall display to showcase student learning.

Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters, and use the phrases half of, fourth of, and quarter of. Describe the whole as two of, or four of the shares. Understand for these examples that decomposing into more equal shares creates smaller shares.
