Description

If your kids love Among us this is a great product for you! It is fun and engaging way to work on finding equivalent fractions!

The task is simple: Find the imposter. Each card has fractions on it. All are equivalent except for one. The student’s job is to find out which fraction is not equivalent to the rest. The nonequivalent fraction is known as the “Imposter”. One by one, students will go through the cards, find the imposters, and record them on their answer sheet.

There are two sets of task cards, Set A and Set B. The objective is the same for each set. The difference between the sets is Set A has four fractions to select from and Set B has three fractions to select from. .

Holy holy guacamole! I used these task cards for Saturday School tutoring with eight 4th graders. I put the sets in small manilla envelopes that I had written "Task: Find the Imposter" on. I passed out an envelope to each set of partners. I had wrapped my tables with black paper and gave them white crayons to use to work out their fractions. I put on some Among Us themed background music, and after they all made plans on how to divide their cards, you could have heard a pin drop. They were so incredibly engaged. When it was time to go home, they were perturbed they weren't done. If that doesn't say "Success!" I don't know what does!
