Description
If you could "escape to everywhere" where would you go? This craftivity was originally designed to be used when introducing the 2017 Book Week theme "Escape to Everywhere" but could be used as a prompt for imaginative writing using the same theme.
Lesson Ideas:
Discuss with students where they like to ‘escape’ to- their bedroom, treehouse, etc.
What books help us escape? Brainstorm our favourite books & lands we can adventure to in our imaginations.
Craftivity how-to:
1. Provide students with the 2-templates (door and backing page).
2. Cut out & decorate door.
3. Student draws a place or places on the white backing page that they imagination they might escape to.
4. Print the writing page you would like to use, then have students write about where they would escape to.
5. Glue backing page & door onto A4 card, attaching the cloud writing sheet to the bottom of the page.
