Description
Students learn best when they have a goal or objective.
Sometimes those daily objectives and essential questions are a little confusing though.
Break your EQ's and LOs (essential questions and lesson objectives) down to student friendly terms and you'll notice a big difference in engagement.
Cute sun with a graduation cap on lets students know the Essential question. Then it breaks down the lesson objective/ daily objective into student friendly terms:
"Today I am" - What are your students going to do today? This is where I write the objective as kid-friendly as I can.
"So that I can" - What is the goal for your students today? What do you want them to be able to do after the lesson?
"I'll know I've got it when" - How will you (and students) know when they've reached mastery?
