Description

Are you starting your journey with Eureka Math - Engaged NY- and you don't know where to start? Feeling overwhelmed by all the GREAT "stuff" included in each lesson?

This comprehensive Google Slide document includes 9 interactive and animated lessons, as well as review slides of the End of Module Assessment from Module 6. Each lesson follows the Eureka Curriculum Lessons, and should be used for (whole or small group) instruction. These slides are NOT digital assignments for students, but teacher instructional slides.

The second slide in this document lists every lesson or assessment, and each one is linked to its particular slide for easy access!

Each lesson in this Google Slide document includes the following:

  • Title slide
  • Fluency slide(s)
  • Application Problem slide
  • Concept Development slides
  • Problem Set Timer slide
  • Exit Ticket slide

Eureka Math was created by teachers based on the Common Core Standards. The program can be found online for FREE. The lessons look like a script, but they are NOT a script to be read to your class. They are a vignette to give you an idea of how the lessons should flow. There are MORE examples and practice problems then you can do with your students in the given time. This Google Slide presentation includes most of the problems, but not all from each lesson. You, as a professional, need to pick and choose between all the great information/practice given in the vignette. I have tried to help you with narrowing down the amount of practice to fit about 40-45 minutes each lesson, while still having plenty of practice for your students.

Module 7 is coming this summer! See Links below for the next module.

These are the best slides we've used for the Eureka curriculum! They align perfectly, and are not too busy as to distract the students. They are nice and neat, and all parts of the lesson are clearly listed in the slides.

This was a LOVELY resource and I have purchased most if not all of your module presentations! They follow the T.E. almost exactly and i have been using them for 2 years. We just moved to GA State Standards this year, so I'm sad that I won't be able to use them this year!

Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
Generate measurement data by measuring lengths using rulers marked with halves and fourths of an inch. Show the data by making a line plot, where the horizontal scale is marked off in appropriate units-whole numbers, halves, or quarters.
Reason abstractly and quantitatively. Mathematically proficient students make sense of quantities and their relationships in problem situations. They bring two complementary abilities to bear on problems involving quantitative relationships: the ability to decontextualize-to abstract a given situation and represent it symbolically and manipulate the representing symbols as if they have a life of their own, without necessarily attending to their referents-and the ability to contextualize, to pause as needed during the manipulation process in order to probe into the referents for the symbols involved. Quantitative reasoning entails habits of creating a coherent representation of the problem at hand; considering the units involved; attending to the meaning of quantities, not just how to compute them; and knowing and flexibly using different properties of operations and objects.
