Description

This product is an assessment of the material taught in 5th grade Eureka Math (ENGAGE NY) Module 2 Lessons 1-9.

Included is a 4 page assignment.

I use it as a test, but It can be used as homework, test prep,or just extra practice in class. The module has 29 lessons and I feel that is too much information to include on one test.

Answer key is included.

Module 2 Lessons 1-9: Writing expressions, finding the product of a multi digit whole number and a multiple of 10, estimating products by rounding factors, multi-digit multiplication using and area model and the standard algorithm, multi-step word problems that include multi-digit multiplication.

I like to check on my students' understanding before the mid-module assessment, especially since module 2 is long and covers some heavy concepts. Great resource.

Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Write simple expressions that record calculations with numbers, and interpret numerical expressions without evaluating them. For example, express the calculation “add 8 and 7, then multiply by 2” as 2 × (8 + 7). Recognize that 3 × (18932 + 921) is three times as large as 18932 + 921, without having to calculate the indicated sum or product.
