Eureka Math/Engage NY Math Homework Calendar
Share

Description

This October Calendar reviews content from Module 1 and 2. This would also be a great extension for gifted 3rd grade students or to cover gap areas for struggling 5th grade students. I also have an October and November editable versions with answer keys available in my store. I am creating more!!

***For more information on how I use Engage in my classroom and the different Homework requirements I list on the calendar check out my blog - http://ahhteaching.blogspot.com/2014/10/engage-ny-homework.html

***I created a homework calendar to use instead or as supplement to the Engage NY Math Modules. I love Engage NY but I struggle with giving students the homework for a topic just learned. I also have problems with students losing homework pages and packets. To fix all of these issues I created a calendar that reviews content learned in an easy to use and manage way. I feel homework is a necessary piece towards student confidence however I do not want it to be a family burden. Please take a look at this free sample of my homework calendars. I am in the process of creating editable calendars for each month with answer keys and parent letter for sale soon. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

I ABSOLUTELY love the concept in this packet. I teach online and this is a great activity for kids to work on at the beginning of class while kids are still joining us. If they do not finish it they are required to finish it for homework. I love the signature parts. The only part I was super bummed about is even though they can be edited, they take some time. I must have missed somewhere that this was for a school year prior to COVID. I am still working on the updates for next months calendar.

I really enjoyed this but could not find a calendar for September. I am using it for my high students and gifted.

I agree 100%. For my 4th graders, I check homework daily and students get a grade for the week. I use a spreadsheet with student names and just mark if they did not do the work at all. I check while students do examples on the board. It is very quick and painless

I love this! We started using Engage last year and it was a challenge. I am going to show this to the other 4th grade math teachers and see what they think. I really like the way this helps them reinforce what they are learning.
