Description

Teaching children about the seven continents is so much fun, and really broadens their knowledge about the earth. This activity also increases children's awareness about the variety of different cultures of the world. There are seven folders all containing important and knowledgeable pictures about that specific continent.

When presenting a continent folder, it's important to make it very interesting and be as engaging as possible. The teacher should also have the Montessori Continent Globe when presenting this activity, to show the child where the continent is on the globe, as well as what shape it is.

Each continent in Montessori is represented by a specific colour. Africa is green, Europe is red, North America is orange, South America is pink, Australasia is brown, Asia is yellow, and Antartica is white. The cards that I've made are outlined in the respective colour of each continent. There is a brief description about each image in this activity. Stick the description on the back of the picture to make a flashcard.

This set includes the Europe continent folder. Hope you enjoy this activity!
