We changed this a bit and the students tried to sink MY battleships and I tried to sink the battleships of the class. They were all working problems together and I overly dramatized every sink and "no hit" that I received. I did not actually let them win, but when I sank my own battleship I owned up to it and they won.

I loved the way that this was set up. I could monitor student accuracy by looking at the partner's board and help students along the way. It was a very clever setup!

I loved this battleshit activity. It was a great peer check activity where they did not have to confirm answers with me but could help one another if they got a problem wrong.
