Description

EVERYDAY ESTIMATION IS CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED TO DIGITAL FOR DISTANCE LEARNING! This digital resource includes the same PDF images but with virtual manipulatives to drag. Students still estimate and use number sense to guess, but now they pull the digital manipulative instead! Happy distance learning!

Estimation is an important and engaging math skill! Students that have strong estimation skills have strong mental number sense. Young kids need many experiences with estimating and producing numbers and then talking about them.

Everyday Estimation is a series of estimating tasks for young kids. The tasks use fun holiday images and holiday items (in this case, jelly beans) for hands-on math estimation.

Everyday Estimation makes a great math center!

The pages are printable, low-prep. All you need is to get the jelly beans and print the pages. Students are ready to try them out and think DEEP!

Happy teaching!
