Great activity for students to learn various flags of the world while learning how to use key formatting features in Excel!

This Excel lesson will teach your students how to select multiple cells (a skill needed for Excel), apply fill color, insert shapes, change shape color, remove shape outlines, copy and paste, apply borders to cells and resize columns.

You have the option of printing the step-by-step directions for students to follow on their own, show the lesson on a projector and complete the project as a class, or save the file to your network drive. There are step-by-step directions for 4 flags so students become familiar with Excel's formatting features and then students are able to create the remaining flags on their own. Lesson Includes a total of 30 flags. Dividing the lesson into segments, these lessons could last over several class periods.
