Description

Designed with my 5th-grade students in mind, but can be used for any age range where students need to start thinking about long-term assignments. As a Google Slides document, you can edit it to meet your needs. I upload it to my website as a living document so students and parents can easily access it.

At the end of every day, we go over our planners and use this as a time to develop executive functioning skills. Students lead this routine after they learn it and discuss our work priorities. We determine which assignments belong in the Red, Yellow, or Green zone depending on their due dates and priorities. Blue is listed as optional for things like Spirit Days, Book Orders, etc. The color coding and moving of items over time make students and parents able to easily understand what work needs to be done and when.
