Experience

Hi! I’m a Registered Behavior Technician with a degree in psychology with many years of experience supporting children and teens with autism and other developmental disorders in both clinical and EC classroom settings. Brave Little Steps Behavior Co. was created to provide thoughtful, gentle, and effective tools that help children make meaningful progress — one brave little step at a time.

Teaching style

My approach is rooted in structure, compassion, and progress over perfection. As an experienced RBT, I design resources that support communication, regulation, and independence. Every product is built from real-world experience and made to be easy to use, visually clear, and behaviorally effective. My goal is to help every child take brave little steps toward growth — and to support the caregivers and educators walking with them.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest moments haven’t come with awards — they’ve come quietly, through the brave, meaningful progress I’ve witnessed in my learners. I’ve supported students who once relied on PECS begin to mand independently for what they need. One learner who used to aggress for attention now simply taps a shoulder when he wants connection. I’ve had the honor of working with children who used their first communication card, independently transitioned without a meltdown, or chose a calming strategy all on their own. These are the wins that matter most to me — and they’re the reason I create resources that are simple, structured, and grounded in compassion.

My own education history

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology Focused on child development, emotional regulation, and behavioral theory — all of which guide the structure and purpose behind the resources I create. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certified and experienced in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), with hands-on work in both clinical and EC high school classroom settings. Additional Certifications • CPI (Crisis Prevention & Intervention) • Safety Kare De-escalation & Behavior Support Training • CPR Certified – Infant, Child, and Adult Ongoing Learning I continue to build my skills through professional development focused on communication support, behavior management, and compassionate, trauma-informed care.
