Exit tickets are a great way to quickly check for student understanding. Using these folder or pocket labels can provide an opportunity for student self reflection and make it very easy for you to see at a glance how students perceive their own understanding of a topic. This is paramount to your approach to helping them learn, grow, and improve.

Suggestions for Use

I print these in color, attach them to the outside of a file folder or large, folded piece of construction paper, and staple them to the wall. As students finish their exit tickets, they place them in the appropriate folder on the wall.

You could also glue them to folders and keep the folders in your turn-in area. Students could choose the appropriate folder when they turn it in, or you could pass the folders around to groups for students to turn their work or exit tickets in.
