Description

This is a digital escape room (breakout room) practicing identifying the variables in experiments. There are 5 levels that the students must pass. Each level has an experiment to read and 4 multiple choice questions identifying parts like independent variable, dependent variable, constants, and control group. The students must then convert the letter to a number using a puzzle. Incorrect answers cannot proceed. At the end, the student submit their name and class hour for grading.

This activity is a great way to review for a quiz or test. It can be used in the classroom or distance learning.

You may edit the Google Forms to better suit your needs, however the questions and puzzles are not editable.

I have not seen my students so engaged with an activity in a while. This was just like a game to them. They were super competitive and actually practiced the different types of experimental variables. LOVE it, and cannot wait to make it a usual activity for future years.
