Description

This exponent digital sort is a great activity to assess students understanding of exponents. Students will match each power with their expanded form and evaluate the power. This is an interactive Google Slides activity.

This activity includes:

✅ 3 Digital Sorts

✅ 12 problems with exponents

✅ Editable directions slide

✅ The last slide includes powers with fractional and decimal bases

✅ Blank copies of the tables to be used as a recording sheet or for a differentiation activity

✅ Answer Key

Some ideas for differentiation:

  • Remove some of the extra cards on the side with common mistakes so that students only have cards that they will use
  • Delete the cards and add text boxes on the table for students to type in the expanded form and the simplified answer
  • Have students fill out the table on their own (blank copies of the tables are included) and then sort the cards into the correct spot on the Google Slides Activity.
