Description
Our error analysis activities are designed to help students gain the skills to identify errors in their own work and correct misunderstandings of math concepts. In this activity, students will work to identify common errors made when applying exponent laws. The problems gradually increase in difficulty and require students to explain the misunderstandings represented using math vocabulary. Questions do not deal with fractional or negative exponents.
Choose between individual practice sheets or task cards that can be used in small groups or for class discussions. 15 individual error analysis questions are included with an answer key and vocabulary bank. This error analysis activity can also be paired with our Exponents Reference sheet to support students as they work through each problem. You can also choose between two printing options, with or without a background.
