A great next step into seeing the exponent rules before combining them together. Add the coloring part in and kiddos will have a great activity to complete! Best part - print ready activity! I LOVE this activity, especially since we rearranged our algebra curriculum so that exponent rules are the first thing we teach (the Halloween theme works well). My students enjoyed it. The problems weren't overly challenging, but still required them to know their rules...really good for my lower-level, block algebra students!
