Description
Students can never have enough practice with exponent rules. These guided notes work through each rule separately and combine them as well. There are plenty of practice problems for students to work on independently or with a partner. This would be a great introduction to exponents or review when exams come around. An answer key is included.

This provided pretty good examples for introducing exponent rules. My students in Algebra 1 still really struggle with the rules and I liked how this had them all together. However, there was at least one problem that would involve a negative power but the negative power wasn't addressed until later in the activity. It wasn't a big deal and I skipped that particular problem until we talked about negative powers and then we went back to it.
