Description

This 24 page editable PowerPoint lesson covers laws of exponents, including Exponential Form, Rule of One, Rule of Zero, Product Rule, Quotient Rule, Power Rule, Product to a Power Rule, and Quotient to a Power Rule. The Rules of One and Zero sections share a "Your Turn" slide and a "Why" page which explains why the rule works. All other sections have their own 'Your Turn" and "Why" slides that students can do individually or in small groups to check understanding before moving on. The "Why" slides in each section help students understand why each rule works. There is a final "Challenge Your Turn" slide to enrich the lesson. This lesson can be done in one class period or divided into multiple days depending on the level of students. Interactive Notes that go with this PowerPoint, along with a check understanding page and two pages of practice problems, are available at my store.

I do not “lock” my PowerPoint lessons. We all have to differentiate and teach to the children in front of us each day. Locking the lesson seems counterproductive to helping you reach all students. I do ask that you honor the terms of use at TPT and not share these materials with others. Additional licenses are available to purchase at half-off if you want to share with other teachers at your school, or within the school district. Permission is given to modify the product to best suit your students’ needs, but the credit page should not be removed. Thank you.
