Description
This worksheet pair allows students to practice finding characteristics and features of an exponential function when given as a graph or an equation. Students need to know how to find x and y-intercepts both graphically and algebraically (or with technology). There are four graphs and four equations - for a total of eight functions PER worksheet. There are two worksheets included.
Version 1 - Exponential Functions - Growth and Decay - NO x-axis reflections
Version 2 - Exponential Functions - Growth and Decay - X-axis reflections INCLUDED
Students will be asked to find the following characteristics:
- Domain & Range
- X-intercept(s)
- Y-intercept
- Increasing/Decreasing intervals
- End Behavior
- Asymptotes
This worksheet works great as an in-class practice or as homework! It is also a great discussion tool to have students begin to notice patterns associated with an exponential function and its characteristics and equation.
An answer key is provided. (Note: the answer key uses interval notation)
