Description

Exponential Functions (Unit 7 Section 1): Note worksheet (3 pages)

  • Identify growth/decay exponential functions. (Example1)
  • Investigate the graph of growth/decay exponential function through intercepts, asymptotes, domain, and range. (Example 2)
  • Introduce natural base โ€˜eโ€™ and natural exponential function.
  • Introduce natural base โ€˜eโ€™ and natural exponential function.
  • Graph exponential functions using transformations and find the intercepts, asymptotes, domain, and range. (Example 3, 4, 5)

I upload or will upload materials of Algebra 2 as a whole curriculum. I designed them in comprehensive and coherent manners so that you can teach without textbook hassles.

1. Each section in a unit includes a note worksheet and a practice worksheet with the teacherโ€™s edition. You will get each section individually or a bundle of a unit.

2. In a practice worksheet, the problems are grouped, and each group is labeled by the related EXAMPLE on the note worksheet.

3. Some of the sections have โ€˜Getting Readyโ€™ worksheets in case checking the prior knowledge or skills are necessary.

4. Each unit includes 1 or2 quizzes, 1 Review, and 1 Test.

Graph functions expressed symbolically and show key features of the graph, by hand in simple cases and using technology for more complicated cases.
Graph exponential and logarithmic functions, showing intercepts and end behavior, and trigonometric functions, showing period, midline, and amplitude.
Identify the effect on the graph of replacing ๐˜ง(๐˜น) by ๐˜ง(๐˜น) + ๐˜ฌ, ๐˜ฌ ๐˜ง(๐˜น), ๐˜ง(๐˜ฌ๐˜น), and ๐˜ง(๐˜น + ๐˜ฌ) for specific values of ๐˜ฌ (both positive and negative); find the value of ๐˜ฌ given the graphs. Experiment with cases and illustrate an explanation of the effects on the graph using technology.
