Description

This is a differentiated activity incorporating exponential functions and "The Grain of Rice Story." As a class, the story is read in play form. Students are assigned parts to read. Then students are broken into groups designated by readiness. Each group is assigned a task based on the story. All tasks require the groups to make a table, graph, and write an equation based on a situation related to the story read. Tasks increase in difficulty from 1 through 4. Groups must make a poster displaying their results. GRADING RUBRIC INCLUDED.
