Exponential Notation Fillable Table
Share

Description

The exponential notation fillable table requires students to write exponential notation, identify the base and exponent, write the number in expanded form (using multiplication), and to evaluate the number. The table increases with difficulty by giving less information.

I personally use this table to review exponential notation with my 8th grade students before teaching the properties of exponents. This could also be used in 6th grade after teaching exponential notation.

I like that the questions/problems make students think about exponents in a different way. Really gets students thinking and lets you know if they truly understand.
