Description
This set of 6th grade math binder notes provides an organized set of notes and practice problems for an introduction to exponents. Students will explore vocabulary related to exponents- power, base, and exponent. Next students will look at different powers including what it means to have a power of 0, or 1, and ways to read powers of 2, 3 and beyond. Students are then guided through practice problems for 1) writing repeated multiplication as an expression involving exponents, 2) evaluating powers and 3) writing in missing exponents and bases.
These notes work great during guided instruction, small groups, reteaching, or review before an assessment.
