Exponents & Exponential Functions - Unit 5 - BUNDLE for Google Slides™
Share

Description

- Great for online and distance learning! Created to be compatible with Google Slides™!

-In this interactive unit, students will be able to: will be able to simplify expressions by using the rules of exponents (multiplying, dividing, power, and negatives), to convert between scientific notation and standard form, apply the rules of exponents to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers in scientific notation, solve scientific notation word problems, to identify the domain and range of given exponential functions, match exponential function graphs and tables to their appropriate equation (including graphs with vertical and horizontal shifts), identify the rate of growth/decay and the initial value of exponential functions. Students will construct the equation of a real-life situation given a word problem and answer questions using their equation, will compare exponential and linear functions, and solve problems based on the comparison.

- Includes all 9 activities shown above with over 220 problems!

Available in the full curriculum bundle below!

Know and apply the properties of integer exponents to generate equivalent numerical expressions. For example, 3² × (3⁻⁵) = (3⁻³) = 1/3³ = 1/27.
Perform operations with numbers expressed in scientific notation, including problems where both decimal and scientific notation are used. Use scientific notation and choose units of appropriate size for measurements of very large or very small quantities (e.g., use millimeters per year for seafloor spreading). Interpret scientific notation that has been generated by technology.
Relate the domain of a function to its graph and, where applicable, to the quantitative relationship it describes. For example, if the function 𝘩(𝘯) gives the number of person-hours it takes to assemble 𝘯 engines in a factory, then the positive integers would be an appropriate domain for the function.
