Description
This paper chain activity is designed to strengthen students’ skill in writing exponents in standard, exponential, expanded and word forms. Students start at the “Start” link and will find the next link in the chain by matching the exponent problem on the “Start” link to the corresponding exponent written in the format described on the next link. Students will continue to build the chain in this manner until they reach the final link which is the “the end” link.
This self-checking activity is a wonderful hands on activity that is sure to engage students!
Answer key is included. Each link is labeled with a letter which makes this activity easy to check by checking the correct order of the links.
