Description
Task cards are a great activity to solidify learning - especially in a unit like "exponents" that has so many different topics. They provide a great way to for students to practice specific skills with immediate feedback (worked out answers on the back). This activity includes 4 task cards that progress through different exponent skills.
Task Card #1 - 4 problems using exponent rules
Task Card #2 - 3 problems about writing exponential equations
Task Card #3 - 1 problem with 4 parts about composite functions and 1 problem proving if 2 functions are inverses
Task Card #4 - 1 problem to inverse of a function, 1 problem to graph the function and its inverse, and 1 problem to identify the domain and range of both
Task cards are a great way to have students work together with a more hands-on experience. These are great for a review before the test about exponents as they are much more interactive than a worksheet or typical review.
Our favorite way to use them is by turning them into a game!
