Description

FBLA/PBL Desktop Publishing Simulation Project {EDITABLE}

Students are directed to create the 5 projects based on the ocean resort thematic information that is enclosed. I suggest students use Microsoft Publisher or some other similar application.

  1. Design business card (3 1/2" x 2")
  2. Design letterhead (8 1/2" x 11")
  3. Design newspaper 1/2 page advertisement (8 1/2" x 5 1/2")
  4. Design newsletter front page (8 1/2" x 11")
  5. Design tri-fold brochure (8 1/2" x 11") {landscape orientation}

These activities are very useful in preparation for:

  • Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
  • Phi Beta Lambda (PBL)
  • other competitions

Note: From start to finish, this unit takes (about 2 weeks), if done in class.

Good Luck at district, state, and hopefully national leadership conferences.
