Three fun butterflies activities to accompany any butterflies reading or research! These activities are a snapshot of the Butterflies Differentiated Reading Passages & Activities! Hope your students enjoy them!

What's Included in this freebie:
Graphic Organizers (2 Options):
Students sort information from their research or reading into either 1.) a 3-2-1 Nonfiction graphic organizer or into 2.) categories including butterfly's life cycle, physical description, defenses, habitat, and diet.
Label It! Students use a word bank to label 8 parts of the butterfly.

What's Included in the full Butterflies Differentiated Reading Passages resource:
2 Vocabulary Preview Charts (2 Options):
Option 1 - Terms only: You can discuss with students what each word means as you help support them in creating a picture and student-friendly definition on the board as a class.
Option 2 – Terms, Definition, and Picture filled in: Simply pass out the filled in vocabulary guide and review with students.
3 Differentiated Reading Passages: Reading grade level equivalents of Grades 2.5-5.
Finding Text Evidence (2 Options):
In the first option, students use crayons to color code text evidence. In the second option, students can also write answers to each question.
Caption It & Headings Match Up: Students use what they have learned from the passage to match captions with their appropriate images. They also give each section of the text a heading (physical description, habitat, diet, defenses, or life cycle).
Interactive Graphic Organizer: Cut, glue, fold and write! This is a fun 2-page interactive organizer shaped like a butterfly. Students write under each flap, showing comprehension of the text. Two back page (fill-ins) options are included.
