In my classroom, we call this the "Daily Oath", which when followed, will lead us to success. If you are a new teacher, or new to an elementary classroom, and are not sure where to start with guidelines, this may be of some help to you.

I have my guidelines laminated and posted above my whiteboard, where there is absolutely no way to miss the high expectations for all students, the second they walk in the door.

Expectations are appropriate for all grade levels, but likely to be most effective when taught in the 1st-8th grades.
