Free Sample – Are You Right? Sentence eBook - BOOK 21

The Are You Right? series builds reading fluency step by step, helping children transition from isolated words to complete sentences with confidence.

While stories certainly have their place, we believe they are most effective once children have developed some fluency with the CVC words they have the knowledge and skills to decode.

Our book series is structured across four progressive stages - moving from isolated CVC words, to noun phrases, fragments, and finally isolated sentences, allowing children to build their fluency without leaping into sentences embedded in stories.

This free sample is from Stage 4 – Sentences. To read this eBook, children should be familiar with the following graphemes: a, d, i, m, n, o, p, s, t, plus the heart words ‘the’, ’I’ and ‘a’. It also includes ‘and’ (VCC), ‘is’ (with /z/), and capitals S, D, P, O, T.

  • Self checking format: read, then turn the page to see the picture
  • 9 decodable pages + 9 illustrated pages
  • Soft grey background reduces glare
  • Series covers all alphabet sounds
  • Curriculum flexible: reorder to suit your programme or the child’s heart words knowledge
  • 81 titles available in this stage, with more added regularly

Perfect for building fluency at school or at home.

How to Read the eBooks

To enjoy these free eBooks, we recommend using a single-page view for best readability.

  • Apple Devices: Use Apple Books for an optimal one-page reading experience.
  • Android Devices: Google Play Books works well.
  • Windows PCs: Try Icecream eBook Reader.

This viewing style helps children focus on the text, minimising distractions from images or visual clutter that can occur in double-page spreads.
