Description

These step-by-step guided notes pages are a great resource for teaching long division. These notes focus on the standard algorithm with a slight tweak. Students make a list of multiples using addition rather than multiplying to find their quotients. I find it makes dividing easier for most students, especially those who have trouble with multiplication.

I use guided notes for every lesson in my classes and love seeing my students reference their notebooks on a daily basis! These are a great accommodation for students with special needs. They minimize writing to allow your students to focus on listening and learning. They free up instructional time and require zero prep!

If you like this product, check out the collection of Whole Number Operations Guided Notes which includes 9 sets of notes, aligned to Common Core standards from 4 - 6th grade. If you teach 6th grade, they are a useful tool for teaching remedial skills.
