Description

FREE worksheet for practicing place value. Place value is a tricky concept for some kiddos and here is very simple framework to get some practice in.

What you need:

(1) This worksheet

(2) Dry erase sheet

(3) Dry erase marker

Here are two ways to use this sheet:

(1) Write down a 4-digit number in the whitespace at the top of the sheet (e.g., 3211). Make sure to align each digit with the right column (e.g., "3" at the top of the 1000's column). Ask your child to underline the number of 1000's, 100's, 10's and 1's corresponding to each digit in the number.

(2) Underline 1000's, 100's, 10's and 1's (e.g., 4567) and then ask your child to write down the corresponding 4-digit number.
