Do you find that your students are rushing through word problems and not fully understanding what the question is asking? Are they making careless mistakes and missing key information? The Word Problem Wizard template was designed to support students in making sense of word problems through scaffolding. This structure encourages students to reread and mark up important information in the problem. They draw math models, write matching equations, and answer the question asked. I'm always on the lookout for ways to keep my students interested and challenged. So I was stoked when I found this awesome free resource! The scaffolded math word problems have seriously changed the game in my class. My students are into it because it's a challenge to solve multi-step problems, and I'm into it because the product is designed to help them gradually improve their skills. I highly recommend it to any teacher who wants to add some spice to their math lessons. Props to the creator for such an amazing product!
