Description

The first days of school are always filled with rules and procedures, paperwork, team building and 'getting to know you' activities. Here is one more FREEBIE to add to your collection!

I work with students in a small group setting and specifically with math so I love using these posters during the beginning of the year. I fill one out alongside my students as well.

The Math and Me poster allows me to get to know a little more about each one of my kiddos in a different and fun way. The Everyday Math poster helps to connect and show students how math is all around them.

What's in the download?

  • 2 posters – math and me and everyday math
  • Completed examples for both

These are perfect for:

  • First day activity/center/morning work
  • Class or hallway bulletin board
  • Addition to the beginning of students’ interactive math notebooks
  • Once they are filled out, have students mingle around the classroom and find similarities/differences between themselves and classmates

Alignment/Grade level:

  • You can adapt these for any age group- I have completed an example to show the varying levels (younger grades just drawing and writing the numbers, older grades writing expanded form, PEMDAS, etc.)

I had this prepared and ready to go for the first week of school. 5th-grade students loved to use their creativity and new markers to create their creations.

Thank you again for another free product! I plan on having the students put these in the front of their math notebooks. I like the idea of using more complex math problems to complete each section. I just downloaded one of your other products. I really like the crisp, clean look for older students. I teach 6th grade so I will be checking back throughout the year for your math task cards. Thanks again for your hard work!
