Description

The FSA (Florida Standards Assessment) is just around the corner. This document provides students with an opportunity to experience multi-step word problems while getting practice with the "Equation Response" question format.

This word document includes:
-Three sets of 4 Multi-Step Equation Response style problems (12 problems in all)
-6 "Opening Session" Multi-Step questions
-3 different Exit Tickets to use after the lesson as a formative assessment
-Practice writing "Expressions" and "Equations" (It's important for students to know the difference between these two terms because the FSA could ask for students to write either of these. Expressions don't have an equal sign. Ex: 2+3. Equations have an equal sign and total 2+3=5)

This document is intended to be used over 3 consecutive lessons in preparation for the FSA. The document has been left in a word format so that you may adjust to suit the needs of your students.
