"This resource is easy to prep and students love it. I've used it as a math extension, math center, and morning job. I did have students use dominoes to help come up with a first grade friendly fact family."

Description

Celebrate learning your addition and subtraction fact families by making Fact Family Royalty Crowns! This fun craftivity is low prep- just print the 1 page crown that you want and staple it to a sentence strip. We printed on yellow paper, but white works fine too!

This math activity it easy to differentiate. There are 3 premade choices and a blank option so you can choose what fits your students. There are also extra points included so students can add extra fact families the whole way around their crown. This is a great extension for early finishers or children who need a challenge!

This was a fun way to practice fact families. I've used this with both 1st and 2nd grade. It does take longer for struggling students, so plan extra time if you have students who don't work as quickly.

My class loved making these crowns as a way to show their understanding of fact families. They were so easy to put together and even easier for me to differentiate with my students.

The students needed extra support working on fact families and they loved being able to color and make the crown afterwards.
