Description
Fact Family Train Ride is an independent center created to give students practice with fact families and memorization of their addition and subtract facts.
In this center students are asked to match each addition and subtraction fact with the number family of 8. After the students have created their fact family trains, there is an independent worksheet to informally assess their knowledge of the number family.
Although this center was aligned to 1st grade standards, it would be a great review for struggling 2nd and 3rd graders.
Common Core aligned to 1st grade standard:
1.OA.3- Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. Examples: If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known.
