Description

This is a 5 page document with a lot of space for students to show their work. Can be used to initially teach prime/composite numbers. The last two pages can be used to show how to find factors (and common factors).

Page 1 - Has a definition and example for prime numbers and composite numbers. It shows how to find the factors of a number, and then see if it is prime or composite. There are two practice problems as well on the first page (in boxes, so the students can show their work).

Pages 2 and 3 - These pages have 4 examples on each page. There are four numbers per page, each in a box. The directions say to find the factors of each number, then tell if it is prime or composite.

Pages 4 and 5 - A review of finding factors. Each page has two numbers. Students are asked to find the factors of each number, then show what the common factors are (also asks for the greatest common factor). At the bottom of each page, there is a Venn diagram, that asks students to write the correct factors under each number.

A great packet for initial teaching or review!
