Use this fall craftivity to reinforce counting, addition, subtraction, number bonds, & color words! Included are five versions of this fall craft activity so you can use the option that fits your classroom’s needs best or differentiate. What's included with these fall math crafts?

  • Four examples
  • Three pictures of trees with headings and one without a heading.
  • Leaves-you can copy these on colored paper or students can color them.
  • Explanation of the recording sheets.
  • Six different options for recording sheets

To use these fall math crafts...

  • Print out the fall tree page or pages. You can print them on colored paper or let students color them.
  • Print and copy the leaves on different colors of paper.
  • Choose the version you would like to use for the recording sheet and copy it.
  • Students will add leaves to the tree according to the directions and the version chosen. Students will fill out the recording sheet.
  • Glue on a large piece of paper to make the display.
  • Hang up in your classroom or hallway. You can also add these math crafts to your fall bulletin boards.

My first graders really enjoyed doing this especially when we just began to learn about number bonds and number sentences. I personally like that it came with words problems and students had to create their own numbers and use it to create a equation.

Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
